Coille Mhor

The walk through Coille Mhor is one of those Scottish forest experiences that justifies the drive out to Argyll. Alexandria is your nearest base, though you're better off staying at one of the nearby parks - Inverbeg Holiday Park sits just 1.5 miles away and gets consistent five-star reviews, while Milarrochy Bay is another solid option at 3.8 miles. Both put you within spitting distance of Loch Lomond, so you can easily combine woodland walks with the broader park landscape. The forest works as a half-morning visit between other attractions rather than an all-day destination, but it's absolutely worth the stop.
