There's a corner in Brewood where a signpost commemorates the pop star Cliff Richard - and that's genuinely it. No museum, no visitor centre, no gift shop flogging merchandise. Just a modest marker acknowledging that he once lived nearby, back when he was already a household name.

The corner itself sits in an ordinary residential area, so this isn't the sort of thing you'd trek across Staffordshire to see on its own. But if you're staying at Oakland Holiday Park or High Onn Holiday Park - both excellent bases for exploring the local walking routes - it's worth a five-minute detour on foot to spot it. The real appeal is the nostalgia factor and a bit of "I went here" bragging rights rather than any dramatic landscape or interactive experience.

History buffs and seventies pop enthusiasts will find it mildly interesting. Families with young kids? They'll be unimpressed unless they've got an unexpected enthusiasm for 1960s British pop culture. The walk around Brewood itself is pleasant enough though - proper market town charm without being twee about it.

Free, obviously. Go whenever suits your holiday schedule. Pair it with a proper ramble through the South Staffordshire countryside or a visit to the canal heritage sites nearby. It's the sort of low-key local treasure that makes a decent story back home, but don't expect it to be the highlight of your break.
