The Church of Scotland at Carnock and Oakley sits quietly just outside Dunfermline, one of those places you'd miss entirely if you weren't looking for it. It's a working parish church with genuine character - the kind of building that tells you something about Scottish religious life without needing any fanfare or visitor centre.

What strikes you first is the simplicity of it. There's no grand architecture or elaborate decoration here; instead, you get solid Presbyterian straightforwardness.
