Church of Our Lady and St Peter, Leatherhead

You'll find this medieval church tucked away just off Leatherhead's high street, a proper survivor from the 13th century that's seen the town grow around it. The Church of Our Lady and St Peter is mostly Early English Gothic, all soaring arches and that particular quality of light you only get in old churches - the kind that makes you stop talking without meaning to. The interior's straightforward rather than ornate, with decent windows and a chancel worth pausing in front of.
