Christ Church, Dore

The sandstone tower of Christ Church rises above Dore village like something from a centuries-old postcard, and stepping inside feels like walking into someone's living memory. Built in the 12th century, this church has the kind of quiet authority you only find in places that have watched over the same landscape for nearly nine hundred years.
