The leisure centre sits on the outskirts of Stafford, offering the kind of straightforward sports facilities you'd expect from a council-run operation - swimming pool, gym, sports halls. It's functional rather than fancy, and honestly, there's no particular reason to make it a destination in itself unless you're staying at one of the nearby parks and need to burn off some energy on a rainy afternoon.

If you're based at Pillaton Hall Farm or Chase Camping at Tackeroo - both cracking spots - this place could be useful for a couple of hours. The pool works well for kids, and the gym is decent enough if you're not wanting to stray far from your caravan. Cannock Chase Camping Club Site is also within striking distance.

Really though, you're better off exploring the actual Cannock Chase area itself, which is proper countryside with proper walks. The leisure centre is more of a backup plan than a day out. Opening hours and admission prices do vary, so ring ahead before you go. It's the sort of place that's genuinely handy to know about when the weather turns, but won't be what you remember about your holiday.
