The golf course at Center Parcs Elveden Forest sits within one of the resort's broader recreational facilities - eighteen holes winding through Breckland forest just east of Bury. It's a solid mid-range course, nothing that'll set your handicap on fire, but absolutely the sort of thing that justifies a day away from the kids if you're staying on-park.

You get your typical parkland layout with water features and mature trees doing most of the work defensively. The routing's sensible rather than spectacular, and unless you're coming off a three-week break, you won't find yourself swearing at the design. Allow three and a half hours for a round, maybe four if your group's taking their time.

If you're basing yourself at Center Parcs for a proper week - and families absolutely should, given the on-site pools and activities - this course works as a half-day diversion rather than a pilgrimage. Better for confident golfers than beginners; the fairways punish wildness without being actively unfair. Green fees typically run thirty to forty quid depending on season.

Worth noting: you don't need to be staying at Elveden Forest itself. Day passes exist, though booking ahead saves hassle. The surrounding area offers decent alternative bases too - Kings Forest Caravan & Camping Park sits five and a half miles away and scores consistently high reviews, while West Stow Pods provides something more contemporary at six miles out. Both put you within easy striking distance of the course without the full Center Parcs premium.
