Silverhill Woodland Retreats and Teversal Campsite are both close by and offer decent enough bases for exploring the wider area.

Derbyshire's got far flashier attractions, but if you're interested in how ordinary communities worshipped during the Victorian era, this tells that story without any pretence. Worth a detour if you're in the area, though I wouldn't plan a day trip around it alone. Check opening times before you visit - like most parish churches, hours can be a bit variable.
