History types will geek out over the period furniture and the family's connection to Irish landed gentry life. But honestly, families with restless kids might find the interior a bit static after forty minutes.

It's free to wander the grounds, though house entry involves a small charge. Allow a good two hours if you're doing the full works - the walk to the water takes time and the views across Strangford are proper worth your while.
