The Cascades at Fairford Park Obelisk are proper worth seeking out if you're staying in the area, though fair warning - they're not Niagara. The walk through the reserve itself is the real draw: woodland paths wind down to the water, and you get decent views across the valley. The obelisk marking the spot adds a bit of historical texture, though its purpose feels wonderfully obscure.

This isn't somewhere you'd base a whole day around, but as a 90-minute circuit from nearby Fairford, it slots in nicely between a lazy morning and lunch. Walkers and anyone keen on a bit of gentle exploration will enjoy it. Families with younger kids might find it a touch underwhelming unless they're the type to spend ages turning over rocks looking for newts. The reserve is quiet even in peak season - you won't fight crowds.

Access appears to be free, though details are thin on the ground. Best visited after decent rainfall when the cascades actually have some volume. If you're bunked up at Great Farm just down the road, this makes an easy morning outing before heading to bigger attractions.
