Calon Church

The stone walls of Calon Church have stood in rural Carmarthenshire for centuries, a quiet medieval structure that most visitors driving between Ammanford and the Brecon Beacons entirely miss. It's a proper little church - the sort where you'll find genuine peace rather than crowds, with plain glass windows and a handful of pews that speak to its age more honestly than any heritage plaque could.

What makes it worth the detour is the isolation itself. You're looking at a working church that's remained largely unchanged, the kind of place where local history actually means something to the people who worship here.
