Bryn Coch

It's a proper workout for what it is, maybe forty minutes hard graft from the nearest starting point, but walkers and outdoor types will find it worth the effort. The peak itself is straightforward - no scrambling required, just steep gradients and moorland underfoot. Families with decent hill legs can manage it, though smaller children might struggle with the relentless climb. Allow two hours return if you're not hammering it. What makes it work as part of a Shropshire holiday is the location - it's accessible from Welshpool, sitting just the right side of the Wales-England border, and combines nicely with other local walking in the area.
