The main draw here is straightforward: a good walk through mixed woodland with a stream running through the valley. Paths wind alongside the water, and if you time it right after rain, you'll hear it properly thundering along. It's not dramatic scenery - no sudden vistas or clifftop moments - but it's exactly what you want when you've had enough of caravan parks and want to blow out the cobwebs for an hour or two.

This works best for families with kids old enough to manage muddy paths without complaining, and for walkers wanting something low-pressure. The forest floor can get boggy, particularly in winter, so decent boots are essential rather than optional. You're looking at anything from forty minutes to two hours depending on which loop you take.
