It's not a sprawling theme park - more an honest collection of rides and games scattered across a modest site. You'll find the usual suspects: bumper cars, a dodgems track, arcade machines, and a few larger rides depending on the season. The whole place has that slightly worn, authentic fairground feel that modern sanitised attractions have lost.

It's genuinely best suited to younger children who still get genuine excitement from spinning teacups and dodging bumper cars. Teenagers will likely find it small and dated; adults without kids in tow won't stay long. Most people spend between one and two hours here before heading off to explore Banchory proper or the surrounding Deeside valleys.

If you're staying at Banchory Lodge Caravan Park - just a ten-minute walk away - it's a convenient wet-weather option or a quick evening out with the kids. Same goes for Silverbank a mile down the road. On decent days, though, you'd be better off walking along the River Dee or heading into the Cairngorms National Park. Bellfield works as a rainy-Tuesday backup rather than a main attraction. Admission is modest and it's free to wander around, though rides cost extra. Check opening times before you visit - it's not always staffed during shoulder seasons.
