Beinn Mheadhonach

The walk up Beinn Mheadhonach from Pitlochry is one of those Scottish climbs that creeps up on you - not particularly dramatic from a distance, but rewarding once you're committed to it. At around 2,400 feet, it's a proper hill rather than a casual stroll, and you'll feel it in your legs by the time you reach the summit cairn.

The town itself is well geared up for walkers - shops, cafes, and easy access to trailheads. Spring through to early autumn is best; winter can make it treacherous.
