Beinn Chóarach

The walk up Beinn Chóarach rewards you with views across the Firth of Clyde that make the slog worthwhile. It's a proper peak on the Isle of Arran - not a gentle stroll, but achievable for anyone with decent fitness and decent footwear.

Allow a good three to four hours for the round trip, depending on your pace and how long you linger at the top.

Arran itself is the draw here rather than any single feature - it's an island that packs serious scenery into a small space.
