The location works brilliantly if you're based at Galloway Glamping or Mollance Farm Caravan Park - both are minutes away and this makes a natural leg-stretch between those sites and exploring Castle Douglas itself. The Loch Ken Holiday Park crowd are also close enough that it's worth including in a broader walk around the area.
