Avocet Hide

Tucked away on the shores of Poole Harbour, this wooden hide offers front-row seats to one of Dorset's finest bird-watching spots. The structure itself is simple - a basic shelter with viewing slots - but what unfolds beyond those windows is proper wildlife theatre. Avocets sweep their distinctive upturned bills through the shallow water while little egrets stalk the mudflats with ballet-like precision.
