Ann Burrows is a historic site just outside Nottingham that rewards a bit of local knowledge to find properly. Bleinheim Farm Campsite and Little Bunny Retreat offer alternatives if you want something a touch further out but still reasonable for a day trip.

Before heading out, check locally in Nottingham about access and current conditions - this isn't the sort of place with a visitor centre or set opening hours. It's very much a 'get a local recommendation and go have a look' type of attraction, which can be absolutely brilliant if you've got that curiosity about how ordinary people lived historically. Worth factoring in if you're already in the area camping nearby.
