The river valley where Allt Cilwen sits holds that particular kind of quiet you only find in proper Welsh woodland - the sort of place where the sound of water running over stone actually matters. Walkers using Llandysul as a base will find it's a proper detour from the main roads, but that's rather the point. It's the kind of place you'd easily spend a couple of hours poking about without feeling rushed.
