Alloway Church

The ruins of Alloway Church sit quietly on the banks of the River Doon, and if you're a Robert Burns fan, you'll recognise this place instantly. It's where the poet was christened, and it's the setting for the climactic scene in Tam o' Shanter - that bit where Tam spots the witches dancing in the churchyard.
