If you're staying at Milberry Green Meadows just down the road, you could easily swing by on a morning and still have the afternoon for the park itself. Best visited on a weekday when it's quieter and you can actually think. Families with older kids who've done some science GCSE might find it interesting; younger ones will probably find it a bit static. The real appeal is for anyone who likes the untidy reality of how science actually happened.
