The Abington Recreation Ground sits just outside Cambridge, a proper slice of riverside calm that most visitors heading to the city entirely miss. It's not dramatic - no soaring cliffs or dramatic vistas - but it's genuinely pleasant. You get meadows running down to the water, woodland sections where you can actually hear yourself think, and paths that feel properly removed from the tourist trail.
