Worksop Priory

What you actually get is the priory church itself, which is still in use as a parish church, so you can wander in and look around the interior. History buffs will appreciate the chance to walk where medieval canons once processed, but you won't find dramatic ruins or extensive monastic remains. It's more about standing in an old building and using your imagination.

The real value here is positioning it alongside Clumber Park, which sits just 2 miles up the road. Combine it with a proper walk around Clumber's grounds and you've got a decent morning sorted. On its own? It's a quick visit - twenty minutes maximum - and only worth your time if you're genuinely interested in Nottinghamshire's monastic heritage.
