Woof You Dog Run ( Lound) Temporarily closed

Right, I need to be straight with you - Woof You Dog Run is shut at the moment, so this isn't a trip you can actually make. That said, if you're basing yourself at one of the parks near Retford - Hallcroft Fishery, Olive Tree Caravan Park, or Little Oak Camping - it's worth knowing what was here when it reopens.

This was a dedicated off-lead space for dogs, the sort of place that makes sense if you're touring with a pooch and need them to burn off proper energy without the lead. Lound's only a short drive from Retford, so it fitted neatly into a local exploration day rather than being a destination in itself. You'd let your dog run, maybe grab a walk around the village after.

The closure is frustrating if you've got a spaniel or terrier going stir-crazy in the caravan. For now, you're better off heading to Osberton Estate near Worksop - about twenty minutes away - which has proper woodland walks and space to let dogs roam. Or walk the Ryton around Retford itself.

Keep an eye on the Woof You Dog Run social media or ring ahead before you book your holiday if having an official dog run nearby is important to you. When it does reopen, it'll save you the trek to find alternative spots. Until then, the countryside around those holiday parks gives you plenty of walking options anyway.
