The ruins of Woodspring Priory sit in quiet countryside just outside Burnham-on-Sea, a place where you can actually hear yourself think. What remains is a roofless but remarkably intact gatehouse and a few stone walls - enough to get a real sense of what a medieval religious community looked like without the overwrought interpretation boards that spoil so many sites.
