The walk to reach it is pleasant enough, with decent sight lines back towards Lanark town itself.

Kids might find it a bit underwhelming unless they're already keen on Wallace's story - it's not an interactive experience, just a statue and a view. Allow twenty minutes tops, unless you're planning to sit and contemplate for a while.
