Wildwood Alpacas

The animals are genuinely engaging - less aloof than you'd expect, more curious. You can walk among them, watch them graze, and if you time it right, catch feeding time when they lose all pretence of dignity scrambling for food.

It's family-friendly without feeling manufactured. Kids won't get bored for at least an hour, particularly if the alpacas are in the mood for interaction - though they're animals, so no guarantees. The setting itself is rather lovely, with decent views across the Staffordshire countryside. Bring a camera if you're into that sort of thing; they photograph well against the rolling fields.
