You'll spend a good four to five hours walking through the actual sets where they filmed the Harry Potter films, and honestly, it's worth every penny of the entry fee. The studio sits just outside Watford in Hertfordshire, and what makes it special isn't fancy recreations - it's the real thing. The Hogwarts Great Hall is genuinely enormous, with the original tables and props exactly as they were on set. You get to walk down Diagon Alley, peek into Dumbledore's office, and stand in front of the Forbidden Forest.

It's brilliant for Potter obsessives and families with kids old enough to sit through the films - probably from age eight upwards. Younger children might find the scale overwhelming or get bored by the lack of interactive elements. There's a shop at the end that'll relieve you of your wallet, but the actual tour is fairly passive: you move through at your own pace, read the information boards, and take photos.

Book tickets online in advance - they operate on timed slots and it genuinely does get rammed. Allow most of a day. If you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Bushey Hall Park or Home Farm Glamping are closest - you can easily reach the studio within 15 minutes. Fair warning: there's not much else to do at the attraction itself besides the tour, so if you're expecting a theme park experience with rides and attractions, you'll be disappointed. It's a museum, really, and a very good one if you're into film or those books.
