The nearby camping options - Swiss Farm and Henley Four Oaks are both within a couple of miles - make it easy to base yourself locally. Give yourself twenty minutes here maximum, then head down to the river or explore Henley properly.

History types and anyone with a keen interest in Roman settlement patterns will get something from it. Families with younger children will find it baffling. Walkers should go, but only if you're already in the area doing the Thames Path or similar.
