If you're based at any of these - or at one of the other parks dotted around the area like Cathedral View near Wells - you can easily nip in for a swim or a work-out without much bother. The centre's open regularly for public use, though exact hours and entry fees vary, so ring ahead before you head over.

For a proper day out in this part of Somerset, you'd do better exploring Street itself, which has surprising cultural pull for a small town, or heading to nearby Wells with its cathedral and natural springs. The leisure centre is functional rather than special - think of it as a backup plan rather than a main event. Good for families, genuinely useful if weather closes in.
