Toome Canal Walk

A flat, easy walk along the Bann River where it feeds into Lough Beg - this is proper gentle terrain, the kind where you can actually have a conversation without huffing and puffing. The real appeal is that it slots brilliantly into a holiday at Sett on The Lough or Lough Beg Glamping, both just down the road from Antrim. You can do this walk before breakfast, then get on with proper exploring. It's not dramatic or Instagram-famous, and that's rather the point. The walk works best in dry weather - muddy stretches aren't a deal-breaker, but the whole thing is more pleasant when the ground isn't squelchy.
