The setup means you're sitting on actual stone steps with proper views across the town - actors perform at the bottom, audience fills in above them. It's free to watch, which is the main appeal, though obviously you're at the mercy of the weather.

This works brilliantly for families with older kids or theatre enthusiasts who fancy something different. Younger children might fidget through a full performance on hard stone, but short shows or comedies tend to hold their attention.
