The location works well if you're staying at Pevensey Bay Holiday Park just down the road, or any of the other sites nearby. It's the sort of place to visit on a wet afternoon when the beach isn't calling, or early morning when you've got energy but nowhere urgent to be. Don't expect visitor facilities or lengthy opening hours - this is a real church, not a heritage attraction. Check locally before heading over, as access can be variable.

Beyond the church itself, Pevensey's got enough going on - the castle ruins are worth an hour or so, and the seafront's pleasant enough. Warren Wood Country Park, a few miles inland, offers proper woodland walking if you need to balance out the coastal time. The Haven works as a cultural breather rather than a destination in itself.
