The Beacon at Ley Hill

Younger children might find it brief unless they're already into that era.

The surrounding area is proper walking country, with the Chilterns providing plenty of footpaths. Several camping spots sit within a few miles - Whelpley Hill Park is closest at 1.6 miles, while Fuzzy's Farm and Highridge Farm offer different styles if you're staying nearby and want to structure a day around local attractions. Visit on a clear day when the views justify the climb. Winter can be miserable and wet up there.
