Swans Pool

The water at Swans Pool is absolutely still first thing in the morning - mirror-flat, reflective, the kind of calm that makes you walk quieter than usual. It's a proper nature reserve just outside Macclesbe, managed for the birds and wetland life that depend on it, and you'll spot swans, coots, grebes and all manner of waterfowl depending on the season.

This isn't a manicured spot with cafes and visitor centres. It's the real deal - a working reserve where the habitat matters more than the facilities.
