Swanage War Memorial

The War Memorial sits at the top of Purbeck Hill, looking out over Swanage and the Dorset coast beyond. The walk up takes twenty minutes or so from the town centre, depending on your fitness level and which route you take. The views make it a decent photo stop, and the memorial itself rewards a closer look if you're into that sort of history. Kids under ten might find the walk tedious without the payoff of a specific activity at the top, though teenagers keen on local history will get something from it.
