Stourbridge Arch

The arch itself is a sturdy Victorian brick structure spanning the Stour River just outside Kidderminster - built in the 1850s and a proper bit of industrial heritage that most people rush past without a second glance. It's a gallery space now, which is where things get interesting. Local artists use it for exhibitions and installations, so what you find inside depends entirely on when you visit. Sometimes it's contemporary work, sometimes photography, occasionally something surprisingly experimental crammed into that narrow brick tunnel.

It's not a destination that'll eat up your whole afternoon. An hour is generous unless there's a major show on.
