You'll spot Stadium Workspace from the road before you realise what you're looking at - a converted Victorian railway viaduct that's been turned into workspace and studios. It's one of those Sheffield regeneration projects that actually works, rather than just looking good for the council photos.

The structure itself is the draw here. Those red brick arches are genuinely impressive, running through what was once an industrial backwater. Walk underneath and you get a proper sense of Victorian engineering - the sort of thing that makes you think about how Sheffield actually built things. Inside, there's studio space, offices, a café that's worth a pit stop if you're passing through. Artists and designers operate here, so there's usually some genuine activity rather than the dead silence of a museum piece.

It's not a day-out destination on its own - you'll spend twenty minutes having a look, maybe grab a coffee. But if you're based at Fox Hagg Farm Campsite or Waleswood Caravan Park, both within six miles, it's a solid addition to a Sheffield visit. History types will appreciate what it represents about industrial regeneration; walkers can take it as part of a longer route through the city's canal network.

Free to wander underneath. The café will relieve you of a few quid. Go on a weekday if you want to see actual work happening rather than just empty studios. It's not flashy, but it's genuine Sheffield doing what it does well - making something useful from something old.
