St Simon's Chapel

Families with older children will appreciate it more than toddlers - there's no play area, and it's genuinely quiet. Walkers tackling the Dales love it because it's positioned nicely for a leg-stretcher. History types will geek out over the medieval fabric.

Don't expect information boards or facilities - bring a torch if you're visiting in winter. It's the real thing, unmarked and unfussy.
