St Paul's Parish Church isn't the sort of place that demands hours of your time, but it's worth slipping inside if you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks - Sandhills, White Cliff Bay, or Old Mill are all within easy reach.

What you get is a proper Victorian parish church with decent stained glass and the sort of peaceful interior that feels genuinely removed from the seafront bustle down in Shanklin town centre. The churchyard itself is pleasant enough, with sea views if you know where to look. It's the kind of stop that works well between longer activities rather than a destination in itself.

Families won't find much to occupy children beyond ten minutes or so unless they're genuinely interested in church architecture. History enthusiasts will appreciate the Victorian details and local memorials. Walkers using it as a waypoint on a Shanklin ramble will find it convenient and atmospheric.

Admission details aren't widely advertised, but you'll almost certainly find the doors open during daylight hours. Allow twenty minutes maximum unless you're the type who reads every memorial stone. The real draw of St Helens Coastal Resort and the other caravan parks is the holiday itself - this church is more a local landmark than a highlight, best visited if you're genuinely in the area, not worth plotting a special trip from elsewhere on the island.
