You're looking at maybe twenty minutes here, thirty if you're keen on reading the plaques and taking it slow. It works brilliantly as a stop-off when you're based at one of the nearby caravan sites - Hookpit Farm and Solent Breezes are both within spitting distance, and Holden Farm up the road comes highly rated if you want proper facilities. Winchester Morn Hill is there too if you prefer the Caravan Club setup.

Historically minded visitors will get the most from this one. It's not a destination in itself - you won't drag the kids here expecting entertainment - but if you're walking in the area or doing a little tour of local churches, it's absolutely worth the detour. The charm is in the quietness of it, the sense that not much has changed here in centuries.

Admission appears to be free, though if it's locked you'll need to track down a keyholder - not uncommon with smaller rural churches. Southampton's close enough if you want the bigger attractions, but honestly, the appeal here is the escape from all that.
