If you're basing yourselves at one of the nearby parks - Secret Valley, Middle Stone Farm Glamping, or Moorhouse Campsite are all within five miles - it makes a decent afternoon leg-stretch rather than a destination in itself. Couple it with a walk towards Nether Stowey or explore the broader Quantock Hills area and you've got yourself a proper day out. The village is small enough that you can park easily and wander around without the Sunday tourist rush you get at more famous attractions. Worth the detour if you're already in the area and fancy a bit of history, but don't go out of your way specifically for it. Best visited on a clear day when the surrounding landscape is actually worth photographing.
