St Oswald's Church

The church sits quietly on the edge of Hazleton, a modest grey-stone building that doesn't announce itself. St Oswald's is what you get when you wander into a proper village church - no crowds, no gift shop, just the real thing.

Inside, the light comes through simple windows and catches the stone. There's a font that's genuinely old, and the kind of stillness that makes you actually notice the detail in the carvings and memorials. Walkers covering the Cotswold Way will pass through here, and it's worth ducking in. The village itself is quiet - there's no cafe or facilities, so come prepared if you're making it a proper stop. Hazleton's close enough to Bourton-on-the-Water (about 4 miles away) that you could combine a church visit with time at the caravan park there, or explore the handful of other attractions in that direction.
