The church works well as a gentle break during a caravan holiday based at one of the nearby sites. Scone Camping and Caravanning Club Site is barely two miles away and does excellent reviews, making it a sensible base for exploring Perth's quieter corners. Newmill Farm, five miles out, is equally well-regarded if you prefer something slightly further from town.

Don't make it your main event, but if you're camping locally and the weather's decent, it's worth the walk.
