St. Anne's Scottish Episcopal & Methodist Church

The church sits quietly on the main street in Dunbar, a solid Victorian structure that won't stop you dead in your tracks but rewards a quick look inside. St. Anne's is one of those rare hybrid buildings - part Scottish Episcopal, part Methodist - which itself tells you something about the religious landscape of 19th-century East Lothian.

Inside, it's all high ceilings and pale stone, with the kind of peaceful atmosphere you get in churches that are still genuinely used rather than heritage attractions. The stained glass is decent without being extraordinary. There's a proper sense of community here - you'll notice the hymn boards and notice sheets that suggest this is living church, not museum.
