The pale stone kirk sits quietly on the edge of Dunbar, overlooking the coastal stretch that's made this stretch of East Lothian rather special. St Anne's Episcopal Church is one of those places you stumble upon rather than deliberately seek out - proper understated, no grand entrance or visitor centre, just a working church that's been here for centuries doing its job.

Inside it's all high ceilings and that particular smell of old stone and polish that takes you straight back. The windows catch the light nicely, and if you've got any interest in ecclesiastical architecture or Scottish history, there's enough detail to spend a solid half-hour examining the lot. Admission's free, obviously, and there's no faffing about with booking or opening hours drama since it's still actively used by the congregation.
