Your dog will have the run of proper open grassland at Southlodge Meadows, just outside Lutterworth in Northamptonshire. It's the sort of place where you can actually let them off the lead without worrying they'll bolt into traffic or disappear into woodland - the space is fenced, relatively compact, and straightforward.

What you get is basically a field (or fields) dedicated to letting dogs burn off energy. There are no fancy facilities or play equipment in the traditional sense, but that's rather the point. Dogs get space, grass, and room to socialise with other dogs if you fancy it. You'll want to allow 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much your pooch enjoys a good run about.

This works brilliantly if you're staying at one of the caravan parks nearby - Rosemarie Caravan Site, Caravan Park at Stanford Hall, or Manor Farm are all within a couple of miles, so you've got somewhere handy to bring the dog between settling into your pitch and proper exploring the area. It's a functional stop rather than a destination in itself, which is honest.

The real value here is that it saves you from driving further afield when you simply need your dog exercised and happy. Northamptonshire isn't exactly brimming with dedicated dog spaces, so having this on your doorstep when you're caravanning locally is genuinely useful.
