Southlake Waterpark

Southlake Waterpark sits just outside St. Neots and is the sort of place that works brilliantly if you've got kids in tow and the weather's actually playing ball. It's a proper swimming facility with water slides, a lazy river, and various pools - the kind of setup that'll keep families occupied for a good few hours without breaking the bank too badly.

The slides are the main draw, frankly. There's enough variety that older kids won't get bored within twenty minutes, though younger ones might need supervision on anything steeper. The lazy river is decent enough on a hot day - bit crowded in peak summer, mind you, but tolerable out of season.

On a holiday based at one of the nearby caravan sites - the St. Neots Camping and Caravanning Club Site is only 2.6 miles away, or Grafham Water if you fancy being near water that's actually for fishing - Southlake makes for a solid wet-weather backup or a half-day activity. Don't expect theme park thrills. It's functional, friendly, and gets the job done when you need an afternoon of splashing about.

Summer afternoons can get rammed with school groups, so try visiting mid-week or in shoulder months if you value elbow room. Allow three to four hours and bring a towel that doesn't feel like cardboard. The facilities are clean and straightforward - nothing fancy, but you won't leave feeling shortchanged either.
