Situated just outside Street, it serves as the community hub for Somerton itself, with open grassland, sports facilities, and enough room to let kids burn off energy without feeling like you're fighting crowds.

Walkers will appreciate the accessible routes around the perimeter, and it's genuinely useful as a rest stop if you're exploring the wider Somerset area. The field itself is unremarkable in the grand sense - no rare flora or dramatic vistas - but that's fine. Sometimes recreation grounds are exactly what a family needs on a holiday: somewhere to kick a ball, have a picnic on the grass, or just sit for twenty minutes while the kids run about.
